August is in full swing, and we’ve got a ton of news to share! It’s National Farmers Market Week, and we’re excited to include a roundup of 10 of our favourites. Plus, we’ve got updates on new menu items, a reopening, and a notable closure. There's also two events just outside of town, including a butter tart festival.

🍜 PinToh: Known for having some of the best Pad Thai in the city, PinToh serves up authentic Thai cuisine made from scratch. Located in downtown Hamilton, it’s a must-visit for those craving Thai flavours. 21 John St N, Hamilton, ON
🍛 Sankalp: This Indian restaurant chain first opened in 1980, but just recently opened a location in Hamilton (July 2023). Their menu is a fusion of traditional dishes, highlighting India’s north and south. 151 York Blvd, Hamilton, ON

Lakeside a la Carte: Though technically not in Hamilton, Lakeside a la Carte at Bayfront Park in Burlington is a must-visit this weekend! Sample top restaurants, wineries, and breweries, and explore a silent auction with prizes like a $7,000 BBQ kitchen. There’s also live music, the lakeside setting, plus all proceeds support Food for Life and the local Rotary Club.
Burlington Butter Tart Festival: A must-visit for butter tart lovers and a fantastic way to support small businesses. The festival will bring together over 50 vendors (mostly butter tart makers). You can discover local businesses and indulge in an huge variety of butter tarts. It's this Saturday from 10am - 5pm at Burlington Centre, presented by Gotta Luv Butter Tarts.

Rosales Diner added new items to their menu, including Chicken Schnitzel (which looks incredible).
