Evening Forkers!

After a week off, we are back and ready to rumble! Well...not quite, but we are ready to get your stomachs rumbling with hunger over the food news and events that the city has lined up.

We're just around the corner from Thanksgiving weekend, which means Thanksgiving meals for pre-order and available at some of our local pubs, we have a new opening or two, and some interesting smaller food events.

3 Pub Spots to Try Right Now

✨ Pheasant Plucker: Recently one of Heather's friends posted a photo of the most delicious looking chicken tenders and mashed potatoes - and guess where they were from: Pheasant Plucker. We are definitely due for a visit back here to try some of their excellent comfort foods with pub classics like fish and chips, Roast beef yorkie, and of course, chicken tenders. 20 Augusta St, Hamilton, ON

✨ Coach and Lantern: One of Heather's places she goes on the regular, especially for their excellent chicken wings and big salads (hot tip, Tuesdays they have a BOGO wing day). While the weather is still warm, be sure to check out their super cool stone patio in between some of the oldest buildings in Ancaster. BTW they also have a Thanksgiving Dinner available for the upcoming weekend too. 384 Wilson St E, Ancaster, ON

✨ Fisher's Pier 4 Pub: Alex is lucky - he lives just around the corner from this spot! (Heather did previously too, actually, but didn't discover this spot until after she moved). Fisher's is just a cozy spot for some pub grub. The usual suspects like fish and chips and wings can be found, but you can also find dishes like "Fisherman's Platter" of seafood, Baron of beef (roast beef in a yorkie), and some rotating specials too. 554 James St N, Hamilton, ON
