In a vibrant red storefront on King Street West, near Hess, with a window lively with adornments, you will find the delicious TOMAH Restaurant. TOMAH Restaurant opened in the city in 2019 at their original location on Queen, and have since made a name for themselves bringing homestyle Syrian food to the community.

The TOMAH family arrived from Syria into Canada in September of 2018, and one year later the dream of opening ‘TOMAH Restaurant’ in Canada came true. The family’s 30 year experience with cheesemaking in the Middle East was a large part of building their delicious menu.

The menu includes items like: sandwiches featuring turkmani and akawi cheese, dips with pita, Middle Eastern salads like Fattoush, chicken skewers, herbed beef kabobs, shawarma with seasoned rice, and much more!

Special mentions on the menu include their signature heart-shaped falafel, cooked and seasoned to perfection and a shape with relevance as these falafel are made with love.

Try their Baklava, which they hand-make with traditional methods passed down through the family!
